The Asfiya

The Asfiya boasts a superbly convenient location only fifteen minutes walk from the town centre. The real secret of its charm can't be seen from the outside. It's only when you enter into the heart of this small hotel complex that you realise it's built around the most exquisite oasis of gardens and a large pool, crossed by a picturesque arched bridge.

The white and beige stone facades of the buildings are off-set by the strong fuschia colours of Kalkan's signature bougainvillea plants, the Jacuzzi gurgles away contentedly and the poolside bar provides an unofficial library service with its collection of novels on offer along with the drinks. Breakfast can be taken in the shaded seating area, at tables by the pool or in any of the small eating areas hidden in quiet corners of the garden.

The standard rooms are spacious and are decorated in a simple Mediterranean style with tiled floors and an uncluttered sense of space. Most have now been converted into suites with a small lounge area, a private balcony or terrace and the very useful addition of a mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities.

The deluxe suites are situated overlooking the central terrace area and swimming pool and most have their own private indoor Jacuzzi. A further building along side these suites houses three incredible master deluxe suites that also overlook the main swimming pool, with their own Jacuzzis in their room. Additionally, these three suites share their own separate pool.

On the roof of the main hotel, there are four further suites all offering lovely seaviews across the rooftops. The 'Owners Suite', a huge suite on the top floor of the main hotel with fantastic private terraces and lovely sea views.

The rooftop swimming pool h as now been replaced with two lovely, large penthouse suites. The interiors are furnished to a very high standard with queen size double beds, double wardrobes, plasma TV and table and chairs. There is also a mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. With floor to ceiling patio doors and large windows, this effect is to create two delightful, light, airy and incredible spacious penthouses.

These penthouse suites also each boasts their own private pool with large private terrace with your own sunbeds and table and chairs. All this space combined with the magnificent view of the Kalkan and the sea has surely put these suites in the highest category of accommodation that we currently offer.

The staff at the Asfiya are very welcoming and always helpful, so whatever your request they will do their utmost to take care of it. You will find a high quality of service here and nothing is too much trouble. (In fact due to feedback from our previous guests last year, Aslan has changed all the windows on the rooms and suites facing the road and installed double glazing to ensure that virtually no outside noise can now be heard.)

As a base for exploring Kalkan and the local area, the Asfiya is a prime location, but then again you could always just spend some lazy days lounging by the pool or the beach club & the choice is yours.
