10 Reasons to love Malaysia

1. Modern yet full of national beauty - If one could experience the beauty of the whole world within one place, then Malaysia is that place. Its buoyant, wealthy, evolving and westernised city life sits sweetly beside some of the most outstanding, faultless natural landscapes and mountain ranges ever witnessed by the human eye.

2. A great year round climate - with an average temperature of above 30◦c means that whilst most of us are digging out our scarves and gloves during the winter season, Malaysia is enjoying eight hours of sunshine. What’s more the typical rainy summer seasons of other Far Eastern countries passes Malaysia making it a perfect holiday destination at any time of the year.

3. A diverse mix of City, Beach and Adventure - ideal for visitors who want to experience a world in one destination. Choose to do as little or as much as you please… meet the indigenous tribes on the eastern provinces of Borneo, trek through the dense tropical jungle to reveal an abundance of wildlife or wash away the cares of the world with a spa treatment on a raised platform above one of Malaysia’s superb white sand beaches.

4. A host of beautiful beaches - surround this magnificent country that rival those found anywhere in the world. The turquoise waters and pristine white sands of Penang and Langkawi located just off the Malaysian Peninsula complement those in Borneo Malaysia that are set against a backdrop of remote beauty in the vast tropical rainforest.

5. Excellent Shopping - is one of the main reasons that thousands of visitors choose Malaysia and in particular Kuala Lumpur as a holiday destination. From high class designer wear to locally produced handicrafts, competitive, tax free pricing is a major attraction. Pick up a bargain in one of many buzzing night markets where bartering is all part of the fun!

6. Fabulous places to eat out - with a varied and appealing cuisine ranging from traditional Malay dishes to Chinese dim sum and from laksa to siu mai. From world renowned international hotels to cozy side street restaurants and of course the many street vendors offering authentic ‘fast food’ cooked remarkably in front of your eyes, you will not be disappointed.

7. National Rainforests - Some of the oldest in the world dating back over 130 million years were untouched by the Ice Age and are something to behold. Home to an exotic array of wildlife including flying lizards, leatherback turtles and of course the majestic and endangered Orangutans. Take a rainforest canopy walk in the Sabah and Sarowat regions of Malaysian Borneo or climb magnificent Mount Kinabalu (South East Asia’s highest peak) standing at over 13,000 feet.

8. English is widely spoken - making everyday activities including ordering food and getting around easy and stress free. With so much to explore within this incredible country, a multi centre trip is certainly recommended and hopping from one island to another is both exciting and rewarding.

9. An excellent value break - world class shopping, sumptuous spa facilities and a wide selection of accommodation are offered at a fraction of the price of a comparable holiday elsewhere. What’s more the tax free island of Langkawi makes Malaysia a shopper’s paradise.

10. Friendly people - a melting pot of cultures has made Malaysia one of the most diverse and culturally enhancing countries on the planet. Its eclectic fusion of Malay, Chinese and Indian customs ensure a warm welcome that is extended from the bustling capital of Kuala Lumpur to the unique and serene hill resorts and the tribal rainforest regions of Borneo Malaysia.

Malaysia Testimonials

Kota Kinabalu, situated on the northern tip of Borneo Malaysia, is one of the most fantastic destinations you could ever wish to visit – a friendly city with a unique hospitality that’s hard to find in many parts of the world. On your doorstep there are beautiful sandy beaches, deserted islands, pristine coral reefs, and tropical rainforests. Even mighty Mount Kinabalu is only an hour or so away from Kota Kinabalu. The food too is varied, reflecting the diversity of its 30 ethnic groups.

One of the reasons I chose to visit Malaysia was to experience Borneo and see the orang-utans. Situated in a nature reserve, the sanctuary currently cares for six baby orang-utans aged 3-5 years old. We paid a small amount to walk up into the jungle to see them come down out of the trees for food. They were so close to us and it was such an amazing experience, we will never forget it.
