Benidorm is the undisputed package holiday king of the Costa Blanca coast. It is a city devoted to tourism and it has five kms (3 miles) of interrupted sandy beach. The nearby Terra Mitica theme park is one of the biggest in the Med. They built up and high in Benidorm and the popular skyscraper hotels are now attracting the Spanish as well as us sun-starved northern Europeans. Watersports on a Benidorm holiday are particularly good. You’ll find sailing and scuba diving schools as well as waterskiing and boat rentals.
