Corfu is one of the greenest and most luxuriantly beautiful of all the Greek islands. Holidays in Corfu are hard to beat if you want diversity. The island has many beaches that are totally geared to pandering to sun seeking crowds. Yet up in the northeast coast you can find stretches of wild and undeveloped coastline. The mountain scenery and the open beaches of the central west coast are spectacular and, however popular Corfu is, you can still find quiet spots for reflective solitude. Corfu town is beautiful with an old centre that is an elegant blend of European influences especially Venetian. There’s a parade of cafes and shops built as a copy of the Rue de Rivoli in Paris. Oh and a cricket pitch! Corfu is one of the Ionian Islands off the west coast of Greece.

Greece is a full member of the EU (European Union). British passport holders do not require any special visa for stays of up to three months. It’s advised that there is at least a minimum of 12 months to run to the expiry date on passports. Non-EC passport holders are required to have three months to run on their passports after their date of departure.
Expect hot summers with at least ten hours of sun a day with temperatures from late July to late August of 30°C/86°F. Spring and autumn are cooler (27°C/79°F) with rainy winters.
