The White Coast of Spain is the stretch of Mediterranean coastline that runs south from Denia to Alicante and takes in the giant package holiday destination of Benidorm along the way. This part of Spain may not be as pretty as the Costa Brava but it still has much to offer with good beaches, water sports, theme parks and - if you fancy it – even hiking. Benidorm is the best known destination along the Costa Blanca but there are plenty of lesser known, lesser populated resorts to explore.

Eating out
Not for sunbathers who don’t like seeing too much flesh. You’ll find a number of nudist beaches along this Costa.
Spain is a full member of the European Union. EU citizens do not need a visa to enter Spain. You are required by law to have your passport with you at all times and you may be asked to produce it when you use a credit card.
The weather along the Costa Blanca is usually mild. The annual average works out as just above 17°C/63°F.
Alicante is the air gateway to the Costa Blanca. It takes about two and a half hours to fly from London to Alicante and there are both scheduled and charter flights to choose from.
It is worth hiring a car to make the most of the Costa Blanca coast. It is a legal requirement in Spain to carry two red triangles, one of which must be placed in front, and one behind the vehicle if there’s an accident. Spanish law also prohibits talking on a mobile phone when you are driving unless you have a hands-free phone.
