I first meet Katerina very briefly at the London Holiday Show in February 2006. At the time she asked if we offered a Bridal Registry and took a card to get in touch the following week.
Katerina was happy with the way that the Travel Counsellors bridal registry worked and chose me over another company.
Initially the specifications I had for their honeymoon was a four day trip to the Italian lakes after their wedding (they were getting married in Corfu) and the main honeymoon in October/November time. For the main honeymoon Katerina gave me an idea of where they had been before in the Maldives. They basically wanted somewhere quiet, very exclusive and with sports facilities if possible.
I had a good idea of the type of accommodation they wanted but really the destination was left to me. I looked at both Tahiti and Seychelles as there seemed to be properties there that would suit. We gradually narrowed the choices down to the Seychelles and a couple of properties there. I spoke to Katerina nearly every day for about six weeks as the dates changed for the honeymoon and the trip was brought forward to June. Towards the end of March we confirmed a twin centre in the Seychelles staying at the Banyan Tree for four nights then onto North Island for eight nights.
My clients had a wonderful honeymoon. They are also planning on returning there in a couple of years with their daughter!
We left the account open until after the wedding so that guests could continue to add into the account!
