Based In Lowestoft
Hi I'm Tracey, thank you for visiting my personal web page.
Originally from Cumbria, the home of the beautiful Lake District, I now live in the most easterly point of the UK in Lowestoft, Suffolk on the edge of the stunning Norfolk Broads.
I have been working in the wonderful world of travel for over 25 years, starting my career as an overseas holiday rep living in the Canary Islands for 3 years and then working for high street agencies as a travel advisor building up a wealth of knowledge and personal travel experiences.
My passion for travel has taken me to some fantastic places around the world - to name a few I've chartered a speedboat and sailed around the coast of Malta, had a couples massage on a private island in the Bahamas with the sound of the sea lapping at the shore, been' family of the day' in the Walt Disney World parade in Orlando, flew into Monte Carlo by helicopter and won at the Monte Carlo casino, caught my own fish and collected coconuts on a deserted island in Mauritius, bartered in bazaars in Turkey and shopped until I dropped in Dubai.
I love cruising and I would say this is my area of extra expertise, I have been on many cruises and had ship visits with some of the leading cruise operators. I have completed the Travel Counsellors Cruise Expert Programme. The cruise market is forever evolving, I keep up to date with the very latest information, promotions and ship launches. If you are new to cruising and just want some advise on who to choose and what to do, or if you are a frequent sailor who is looking for something a little bit different and need some inspiration, please get in touch.
I am proud to be an independent Travel Counsellor. Working from my home office, without the distractions and limitations of the high street and the impersonality and noise of a call centre, I am available at a time that will suit you. You can call or e-mail at any time of day and I will be the one to see your booking through from start to finish.
I believe that the joy of travel is all about the experience and this will begin with my specialist service well before your journey begins. My aim is to find and arrange your perfect holiday, based on your specific requirements. Whether you are looking for a quick getaway city break, a family holiday, a once in a lifetime special occasion or the most complicated multi-destination itinerary I will research, plan and book everything for you right down to the last detail.
Having access to the latest technology at my fingertips and the award winning support of the Travel Counsellors team at Head Office I can access 100's of suppliers, as well as being able to arrange your own unique package.
I'm looking forward to helping you plan your holiday and providing you with nothing less than the service and treatment I would expect myself. So please get in touch and let's work together to turn that dream into a wonderful reality and lasting memory.
Whatever your holiday needs I'm here to help you, so simply give me a call or send me an email with your contact details on and I can get things started for you:
I absolutely live and breathe travel and I love to write about my experiences! Please take a look through my posts - you might find your own holiday inspiration.

Having recently booked a 'once in a lifetime' expedition cruise for a group of friends to experience the 'Northern Lights' on the Norway coastal journey crossing the Arctic Circle along the way, I thought I would share with you some information about this rapidly growing area of cruising. Expedition cruising is becoming a very popular holiday of choice. A journey in an expedition ship is the best way to visit many of the world’s hardest to reach places. Some offer comfort, and some offer top class luxury, but more importantly they all offer remarkable journeys that passengers treasure forever. They are ships that capture the true meaning of adventure and travel, and that bring you closer to nature than almost any other form of travel. Trips in these ships aren’t just excursions – they are expeditions, with more emphasis placed on the experience ashore, excursions and ports of call, with many being bucket list destinations. Where expedition ships vary compared to mainstream cruising, is in size and detail: an expedition ship is much smaller in size and has a lot less passengers, making maneuverability much easier and, therefore, allows an expedition ship to take its passengers on much more intriguing journeys to hard-to-reach corners of the earth where the path may be winding and difficult to navigate. Passengers on an expedition cruise are encouraged to explore their surroundings on various stops, with the help of the expert Expedition Teams onboard, who share their first-hand knowledge about wildlife, natural phenomena, history and landscapes – and pursue adventurous detours when opportunities arise. You will travel by zodiac to shore, for a hike to wildlife sanctuaries and icebergs, view bucket-list animals and wildlife, learn of the local cultures and attend lectures and presentations from naturalists and scientists. Aside from offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences, expeditions also promote environmentally-friendly cruising. Following the introduction of the Polar Code in January 2018, expedition ships holding a Polar Ship certificate are required to comply with specific standards concerning the ships’ construction, equipment and training of the crew when operating in the Polar Regions. This ensures that the ships are safe and staff pay attention to environmental pollution. They encourage passengers to help with voluntary environmental activities such as beach clean-ups. With these expedition ships you also have complimentary use of snorkelling equipment, a complimentary parka and thermals for polar expeditions. Some of the luxury vessels have their own submarines and specialist diving equipment, some even have helicopters and landing areas on deck. Celebrity Cruises have just launched their new state-of-the-art ship Flora, the only ship of its kind ever to be designed with the destination in mind - The Galapagos Islands. With a growing market for expedition cruises and a longing thirst for adventure, an expedition cruise is a phenomenal opportunity to witness once-in-a-lifetime wonders and experience an unforgettable journey. Where will your expedition take you? To the top of the world, on an ice-breaker voyage to the North Pole, via the North-West Passage? Or will you follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin and come face-to-face with blue footed boobies, marine iguanas and tropical penguins on the Galapagos Islands? (Top of my own bucket-list).
