About Me

Hello, my name is Amanda Watkins and I am a Travel Counsellor based in Pease Pottage in West Sussex. I grew up nearby in Handcross and still have immediate family in the village, after several years away I moved back to the area in 2006.

I have worked in the travel industry for seventeen years, mainly with Tour Operators specializing in longhaul destinations such as the U.S.A & Hawaii, New Zealand and the Islands of the South Pacific. Consequently I have travelled extensively in these destinations. I have also been to Singapore, Bangkok and Sydney and more recently to Trinidad & Tobago, the Riviera Maya of Mexico and Dubai. Before embarking on my career in travel I spent nearly three years living and working on the Costa Blanca of Spain. Within Europe I have visited many parts of Italy as well as the Algarve. One of my favourite holidays was a trip to Egypt to see the Pyramids in Cairo and the tombs and temples around Luxor which I found absolutely fascinating.

My favourite place to visit is New Zealand; I have been there three times but still want to return. For such a small country New Zealand offers a huge array of experiences, I cannot recommend a visit here highly enough. For unadulterated relaxation I love Fiji, where there is an island and resort to suit every taste. I have been lucky enough to visit a lot of them!

I became a Travel Counsellor in October 2006 because I wanted the opportunity to provide every client with a personal, tailormade service. I am available by telephone, e-mail or private appointment often in the evening or at weekends as required. I particularly enjoy arranging weddings and honeymoons as well as tailormade longhaul or ‘round the world’ trips where each individual detail is vitally important to the whole Itinerary.
