Oregon State USA

After our time in Washington it was then over the border and into Oregon. First up was the Fort Clatsop National Historical Park. Lots of history as the explorers in 1805 used this as a base to search the region.

We then checked into the amazing Cannery Pier Hotel in Astoria. Stunning hotel with amazing views.

We had a ride on the Old 300 Trolley before Dinner at the Bridgewater Bistro. After a bit more exploring of this unique town it was bed.

After breakfast it was up the Astoria Column and checked out some amazing views across the state and the Columbia River. In fact, the Columbia River Maritime Museum is a must visit place in town. It was then lunch at the Fort George Brewery before heading off to explore The Ecola State Park and Cannon Beach. Dinner was at The Barlow Room in Dayton before checking into the Vintages Trailer Park. Not quite my scene but an interesting night.

After an amazing breakfast at the Community Plate in McMinnville it was off to Portland.

We checked into the Hotel Modera and then it was off to the Japanese Gardens and then a walking tour of the city. I also managed a tour of the Portland Timbers Soccer Stadium before dinner at the stunning Departure Restaurant.
