My name is Anne Hancock, and I am based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

I have worked in the travel industry for more than 25 years, in both retail and business travel. My experience has been very diverse - from arranging a tailor made tour of Italy starting with a trip to Venice on the wonderful Orient Express - to arranging a round the world holiday which included Hong Kong, China, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Los Angeles.

I aim to offer a very high level of customer service to all of my clients and love receiving feedback on their holidays and travel experiences.

I have completed the Australia Specialist course which has given me a far wider knowledge of holidays and travel in Australia. I recently took a wonderful holiday to Australia visiting Sydney, the Blue Mountains and travelled up the east coast to Cairns.

My most recent trip and one of my favourites was to South Africa, starting with Cape Town, the Winelands, whale watching in Hermanus, travelling to Knysna and the Garden Route and finishing up with a safari in the Eastern Cape region near Port Elizabeth. It was a wonderful holiday with amazing scenery, flowers and delicious food.

Travel is a real passion for me and I have travelled extensively to many places around the world including Kenya, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Malaysia, Mauritius, Bali, Antigua, Barbados, Grenada, the USA, Europe, Dubai, Egypt, the Seychelles and South Africa, and can offer advice on finding that extra special holiday that you may be searching for.

Whether you are looking for a flight, business trip, weekend break, or the honeymoon of your dreams - in fact any kind of holiday, please call me. I will be delighted to hear from you.

Customer Story 1

In the eight years that we have been clients of Anne she has helped us arrange many of our worldwide travels. Part of her opening line, on answering her telephone, is "can I help you". She has certainly done this in our case. She has always been extremely attentive to all of our needs, and there has not been one occasion, when Anne has arranged our travel, that we have had any problems. I now think of her as a friend as well as a Travel Counsellor.

I always use Anne Hancock to book our holidays. With both a sound knowledge of the industry, as well as understanding our specific needs, Anne will always find the perfect hotel/package, leaving us in the knowledge that all aspects of the booking will be taken care of and dealt with to the highest standard. I have recommended Anne to friends, and will certainly continue to do so.

Customer Story 4

Anne - replied to my initial email very quickly and remembered how indecisive we could be from us booking with her last year. With just a couple of questions to us, Anne sent us a choice of holidays with relevant information and then was very happy to source any further information on the resort we chose. Excellent service, we were actually able to decide and book within about four days, which for us is amazing! Jeanette Baker

As a busy National Sales Manager, I do not find the time to search and book my family holidays. Anne Hancock takes all the stress and time out and this works very well for me, this is the 3rd time I have used Anne and I will continue to do so and certainly would recommend her to friends and colleagues. Her quick actions and responses are exceptional offering great holiday destinations that incorporate my requests and needs. I am very pleased with the whole package that Anne delivers. Thank you. We have used Anne several times to arrange trips, particularly when we had limited time in which to make independent arrangements. She is extremely helpful and efficient. She gives a personal service and her experience and expertise allows her to tailor holidays to particular needs. She also always follows up to check on satisfaction levels. An excellent travel agent. We would recommend her to anyone (and have done so several times).

We were very fortunate to have been recommended to Anne Hancock by good friends a few year's ago and have benefited greatly from her broad knowledge of the travel industry, which is coupled to her seamless professionalism, courtesy that cannot be matched and close attention to every detail.

Customer Story 8

Anne planned a trip to Tasmania and New Zealand for my husband and I. From looking at my original plans, Anne's plans for our travel were seamless and fitted well into the dates we specified. She kept in touch by internet and presented the written information within good time.I was also able to keep in touch with her by internet during our travels, as necessary. Anne was always available on the phone if I had queries before we went, and if not always returned calls promptly. In January last year, Anne was extremely sympathetic when I had to cancel a trip to Tasmania. She managed to retrieve part of the air fare for me. For future travel plans I will most certainly ask Anne for her expert service. I have recommended Anne to family and friends and wish her every continuing success.

Amalfi Coast

Anne's blog, 16/05/2013

I have always wanted to visit the Amalfi Coast area of Italy and Sorrento is a really good place to base yourself for a week.

Sorrento is a beautiful town right on the coast; my hotel was just a five minute walk from Tasso Square which is right at the heart of the action. Tasso Square was great for sitting at a café or bar with a coffee or glass of wine and just relaxing while watching the world go by.

The old town is a maze of small streets and alleyways where there are shops selling everything including lemons, clothing, souvenirs and delicious ice creams. There are also numerous little cafes, bars and restaurants and it is great fun to just wander and see where you end up.

There is a lovely harbour called the Marina Grande where you will find lots of fantastic seafood restaurants.

From Sorrento there are many interesting places to visit. We took the hydrofoil to Capri for the day, when you arrive at the port in Capri you can take the funicular up to the town. Capri is a beautiful Island and we had a wonderful day wandering around looking in the upmarket boutiques and gazing at the jaw-dropping views.

A half day sightseeing trip to Vesuvius was well worth the steep climb to the top, with magnificent views of the Bay of Naples.

We caught the Circumvesuviana train from Sorrento to Herculaneum and spent a fascinating day exploring the ruins of the city, the train takes 30-40 minutes and we were serenaded by local musicians who joined the train for a while.

We could not miss also visiting Pompeii, you need to allow plenty of time to explore the ruins, and a guided audio tour is available at a reasonable cost. It was amazing to see the ruts in the roads where the carts had been driven around the city in ancient times.

Our holiday would not have been complete without doing the Amalfi drive. This is said to be Italy’s most spectacular stretch of coastline and we were not disappointed, we visited Positano, Amalfi and Ravello – the towns were absolutely beautiful with fantastic views at every turn.

I have some wonderful memories of my holiday, beautiful views and the scent of jasmine and lemons everywhere.
