My Travel Journals
I visited Sharm El Sheikh for a week in November. The weather was perfect, it was lovely to have some winter sun. The flight was just over 5 hours from Birmingham followed by a short transfer to the hotel. Sharm El Sheikh is a fantastic destination, the locals are really helpful and friendly and make you feel very welcome. Watersports and diving were widely available throughout the resort along with glass bottom boat rides, submarine trips and a visit to the Old Market for some shopping. I stayed in the Nabq Bay area at the Northern end of the resort, it was a short taxi ride away to the centre but everything you need is onsite at the hotel. We opted for an all inclusive board basis which is excellent value for money. A variety of food is on offer and camel rides are available from the beach. A massage by the pool was very inexpensive and well worth the money. I would recommend this resort for families and adults alike as it has something to offer everyone. You can choose from a day trip in Cairo, Luxor or a quad biking experience. Many more activities are available and we took advantage of many of them. Sharm El Sheikh was a great resort and somewhere I would go back to.
