This was my first visit to Costa Del Sol. We stayed at a family hotel between Benalmadena and Fuengirola. Although we were a taxi ride away to each resort we rarely left the hotel grounds. We stayed on an all inclusive board basis which was such good value and a great option when you have children. Everything was included - all drinks and food along with ice-cream for the kids. The facilities were excellent, the hotel had 3 pools, water fountains, a childrens playground and evening entertainment to cater for the whole family. My daughter who was 5 then had a wonderful time and made a couple of friends during her stay.

We did go into Benalmadena a couple of times, enjoying a walk around the Marina, a boat ride to see some Dolphins (although they must have been hiding while we were there as we didn't see any at all) and went into the resorts own Sea Life Centre.

This is a destination that I would consider returning to (after I have been to everywhere else on my list) and I would recommend it to families with young children.
