About Me
My name is Betty Watson, I live on the west coast of Scotland. Although living in Scotland, the majority of my clients are in England and Wales. With all the new technology, it really dosen't matter where you live, anywhere from Lands End to John O' Groats, I can organize all your Travel arrangements!
I have worked in the travel business for the past 10 years. My previous job was with the Royal Bank of Scotland, where I had worked since leaving school. Having always wanted to work in travel, I took the plunge and started my travel career with ATM Travel in Saltcoats (formerly A.T.Mays).
In summer 2004, I was made redundant and decided to join Travel Counsellors. It was the best move that I have ever made, I enjoy the freedom of working from home and setting the hours that I work myself. I worked as part of a Telesales team, for the first one and a half years before becoming a 'Personal Travel Counsellor'. This means that I can devote more time to my existing customers, searching for the right holiday for them, and also have time to market myself to new customers.
This job really gives me a sense of job satisfaction; I don't know when I last had that.
Although you are working from home, you never feel alone, as the company intranet has all the information you will ever need. Failing that you can put on a message for 'Help' and there is always several people willing to help.
I can offer all my customers a personal service, and at all times look for the very best prices to suit their budget. As Travel Counsellors is an independent company, we have the freedom to use almost any tour operator we wish, from tailor made to package holidays.
The technology that I have access to is of the highest standard that I have ever seen, it's a real pleasure to work with. The head office staff in Bolton are always there to help with any problems and of course they do all my administration work.
No enquiry is ever overlooked, I treat all with the same respect and give my immediate attention.
I hope to be working with Travel Counsellors for a very long time to come.
