Coral Bay, Cyprus 2010 Wedding

In August 2010, I booked my clients a two week honeymoon and wedding at the Coral Beach Hotel & Resort in Coral Bay, Cyprus and I also attended the wedding.

The hotel is one of the best on the island and has some fantastic venues in which to get married.

The hotel advised of the best location for their privacy and size of wedding party as there was more than one wedding taking place on the same day.

The couple had a few meetings with the wedding co-ordinator and the hotel events manager before their wedding day, where her hair and make up consultations were booked in and all the details of the wedding were finalised, such as bows for the chairs, timing of the music, colour of flowers and table decorations.

Many of the hotel’s wedding venues provide shade from the sun, however the couple were being married in the Ampitheatre and whilst this is a beautiful and traditional setting, it doesn’t provide any natural shade. The wedding took place at 16:30 and the temperature was 43 celsius, so previous discussions about how to protect the couple and guests from the sun resulted in a large wedding umbrella being situated over the wedding table and guest chairs.

The ceremony itself was short and sweet and the photographer took some brilliant photos of the couple with family, friends in front of the beautiful backdrop of the stone stairs.

The bride and groom decided to have their wedding reception away from the hotel and booked a private catamaran for three hours, which took all the guests out to sea for food, dancing and a dip in the water.

This really was the perfect way to end the day, the music was exactly what you would expect at a wedding party and there was a good mix of food to suit all tastes and drink was plentiful.

If you would like any more information, then please do not hesitate to contact me as I attended the wedding myself and can answer any questions. I can book the wedding/honeymoon for you and advise on all the documentation needed to get married abroad.
