Magical is the best word to describe Euro Disney – it’s every child’s dream.

We had been promising to take Molly and Evan (aged 5 and 6) there for some time so in August we travelled with Air France from Birmingham. The flight went so fast considering it was the children’s first flight they would remember (they were only babies when they travelled previously).

We arrived at Charles De Gaulle airport (Paris) and easily found our way to the shuttle bus that would take us to our hotel - Sequoia Lodge.

When we got to Sequoia Lodge approximately 40 minutes later I went straight to check in, the children ran to their room knowing the quicker we unpacked the quicker we’d get to the Disney Park.

Over our 4 nights there I realised I had make a great decision with the hotel choice as not only was it a lovely hotel, the food was brilliant and it was only a 10 minute walk to the parks!

We ate in some lovely restaurants during our time at Disney (all on the Half Board Plus plan). My favorite restaurants for the quality of food were The Steakhouse (Disney Village) and Parkside Diner (New York Hotel). If you want the children to meet the characters while you are eating Café Mickey looked great (although we didn’t eat there) and The Luck Nugget Saloon was great for the kids. The quality of food in the Sequoia Lodge restaurants was also very good with a great buffet selection available.

If we hadn’t had taken the Half Board Plus plan we would have paid hundreds of pounds more once inside the restaurants so I always advise clients this is the best option now.

Having a character in the hotel each morning after breakfast was great as it gave the children chance to see them without the massive queues.

We watched all of the shows every day where possible and the All Stars Express Parade is amazing. The fireworks of an evening were a very enjoyable experience.

Throughout our 5 days at Disney it rained almost the whole time we were there (the one thing I couldn’t have planned) but this didn’t stop us from having a great time.

This was by far the best holiday I have ever had as the look of excitement and joy on the children’s faces was priceless. It’s a must see destination for all families rain or shine!
