Wow! What a holiday ... if you are looking for an active entertainment all day and all night holiday then the Barcelo Lanzarote is definitely the hotel for you.

My fiancé and I decided to go to this hotel for my birthday. We choose the Barcelo as it has a great reputation for its food and there is regular entertainment. I was definitely not disappointed.

We hardly left the hotel which is unusual for us but there was so much going on. The entertainment team were great; they really made an effort with the guests.

It was nice to see all ages from young children through to senior citizens getting involved in sports, crafts and evening shows. They even rewarded the winners with certificates which were presented during the main entertainment.

I was overwhelmed when on my birthday they sung Happy Birthday to me as part of the evening entertainment in both Spanish and English followed by presenting me with a bottle of champagne.

The hotel was lovely and the grounds were well kept. All of the staff assisting as if everything was no trouble at all.

The variety of food was excellent with the exception of the puddings which were quite repetitive. The standard was very good with a lot of the main courses being cooked in front of your eyes. The only downside to the food was that sometimes it wasn't that hot as it was brought out in advance however a microwave was available for customers to heat their food if required.

The hotel was a five minute walk to the beach however the resort centre was around a 30 minute walk. Buses were available outside the hotel on a regular basis.

We decided to go on an Island tour which was very good value showing us all the main sites including the lovely volcano scenery.

I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future!
