At Travel Counsellors we had a great offer available where you could pay for a London hotel and get top seats for a theatre break free. This is an offer that a lot of my clients decided to take me up on but I also booked a break for myself and my fiance for his birthday.

We travelled down on the Birmingham to Euston Virgin service which is a great, fast service.

As part of the package we stayed at the Central Park hotel on a Bed & Breakfast basis. The hotel is in a great location right by Kensington with fantastic access to all tube lines from Queenways or Bays Water stations (both within a 5 minute walk).

The hotel is easy to find so great for people who haven't been to London before or don't have a lot of confidence in using the tubes.

The rooms are clean and of a decent size. All public areas of a good standard although we didn't use the bar during our visit.

During the evening we went to see Dirty Dancing which was a fabulous show. We had brilliant seats on the third row from the stage which is something you may not expect from a special price. I particularly thought the actress who played Baby was very talented.

I would definitely recommend a London Theatre break for couples and friends looking for a short break with culture. London is a great destination as there is so much to see and do, and if you want a relaxing break there are a host of spa hotels available and lots of parks where you could sit and relax or take a stroll.
