I have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Luxor. Our Travel Counsellor, Dawn Gascoigne, came up trumps once again by recommending and booking us a wonderful hotel – the Steigenberger Nile Palace. The staff are all friendly and helpful, especially the pool attendants and the tennis coach who happily made up a four on three occasions on the new rooftop court. We had a room with a Nile view which was spacious and spotlessly clean. We were on a half board basis and thought the food was excellent, particularly the New Year’s Eve spread which had to be seen to be believed! There are also three other good restaurants within the hotel, two which offer half boarders discounts. I liked the hotel layout which encompassed a lovely courtyard area and the pool which overlooked the Nile. The view of the sunset each evening was spectacular especially from when sailing on a felucca, with a delightful waiter serving us canapés and cocktails! Dawn never lets us down with our holiday arrangements – I have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone, whatever their requirements or budget.
