Welcome to my webpage.
I’ve been based in London since 1995, arguably one of the greatest cities in the world. Samuel Johnson once said “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”, a good motto to adhere to. I enjoy the diversity of cultures and accessibility to numerous activities which is stimulating and keeps me inspired. Very important when working as a Travel Counsellor as I need to keep up to date with current travel trends.
I worked in travel for 14 years prior to joining Travel Counsellors, spending time with a Specialist Adventure Tours Company, an Online Travel Company and an Upmarket Tour Operator specialising in Group Travel. During the last 17 years I have travelled quite extensively, visiting Southern Africa, East Africa, Egypt, The Middle East, The Far East, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, The Caribbean and North America.
I’m often asked to name my favourite destination, always difficult, as each destination is unique and evokes special memories. My personal choices are sipping champagne while watching the changing colours of Ayers Rock at sunset in Australia, sitting in the cool morning dew on the rim of the Grand Canyon watching the rock changing colour as the sun rises, travelling through the snow-covered expanse of Siberia en route from Moscow to Beijing on the Trans-Siberian train, experiencing the amazing marine life while snorkelling in the Red Sea off Sharm-el-Sheik in Egypt. For me, this sums up the essence of travel and holidays – it’s those ‘experience of a lifetime’ moments that last long after the tan has faded.
Prior to joining the travel industry I took time out to see the world, three months stretched to thirty-six months. This inspired and still drives my desire for subsequent travel. Hopefully I’ve been to one of your future holiday destinations. First-hand knowledge is so important when tailor-making a holiday.
As a personal Travel Counsellor I have the flexibility of setting my own hours thus ensuring that I’m available for my customers at a convenient time. My customers always speak directly to myself, guaranteeing a seamless booking process from start to finish. Attention to detail is equally important and I believe in treating my customers’ booking as if it were my own.
