About Me

Hello ! My name is Elaine and I would like to welcome you to my web page at Travel Counsellors. I live in Stratford upon Avon, and serve Warwickshire and further afield.

I have nearly 40 years experience in the travel and leisure industry and have loved every moment.

I was brought up in East Africa and started my career working for a safari firm in Nairobi. I not only organised safaris but also escorted them throughout East, Central and Southern Africa. Then with my husbands job we moved frequently and lived in Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe and South Africa, having a chance to work within the industry in all these places. We then moved further afield - a brief stay in Seychelles, followed by Goa and Dubai and ending up with two years in Pakistan before coming to live in England.

Since living in England I worked for several different independant agencies before joining Travel Counsellors at the end of 2002. During my time with these agencies I had the chance to escort tours around South Africa, Australia, Israel and Jordan, USA and Central Europe. I even had the opportunity to escort the Centennial Climb of Mount Kilimanjaro - my second time up the mountain - and I made it to the top!

Since coming to the UK I have managed to visit the Caribbean many times, China, the Far East, New Zealand and several different countries in South America. I just love travelling!

The next best thing to travelling myself is helping other people to realise their dreams and travel to places they have always wanted to visit. I love a challenge!
