My friend was ill and time was at a premium. We wanted to travel independently of an organization and at our own pace. Ginny was recommended by a friend.

Our first experience was a trip to Sicily where we planned to stay near Marsala for a week, and then travel by rail to Taormina. We had selected hotels we wished to stay in. Ginny took the pain out of organising travel and accommodation and she provided lots of invaluable advice.

A second trip was planned for Australia, an ambitious 3 weeks by air and rail, again meticulously arranged. Unfortunately treatment intervened and we were unable to go.

I first met Ginny Scott when she was a manageress for a travel firm in London, some 13 or 14 years ago. She was then made redundant and became an Independent Travel Counsellor. Since that time, she has assisted in organising some amazing journeys for me around the world. These are not just ‘holidays’ , they are ‘travel experiences’. Ginny takes personal interest in each client’s particular tastes, needs and requirements. She has told me more than once that my suggested hotel or destination was not ‘me’ and suggested a better, more apt alternative. I like to think of myself as a ‘discerning traveller’, but like value for money and this is something Ginny recognises. Not only do I get this service for long- haul , but also for short, weekend breaks too. On one occasion I was told it would be cheaper to book a flight on the Internet myself, as Ginny would need to add on commission!! – this shows true interest in the client's welfare.

All I need to do is email Ginny with an outline brief of what I think I would like, she then works her magic to come up with the ideal itinerary!! She knows the specialists for any particular destination, this has been particularly apparent in my many trips to the African continent . It certainly takes out the stress factor in booking and organising trips.
