Luxury and wellness meet at the Royal Hideaway

This award-winning adults-only hotel is a blissfully easy place to escape to, thanks to its location on the south-west coast of Tenerife. It’s also only a five-minute stroll from Playa de Enramada in the upmarket resort of Costa Adeje. Even its architecture takes you away from it all, while its interiors bring to mind local marine corals.

Luxury and wellness meet at the Royal Hideaway

A place to indulge

With Michelin-starred cuisine on the menu in two of its restaurants, Royal Hideaway Corales Beach is definitely a place to indulge, but it also has fantastic wellness facilities. Among them are a gorgeous spa offering holistic treatments, a rooftop infinity pool with sweeping Atlantic views, another heated saltwater swimming pool, Balinese beds and a pool concierge, and fabulous fitness offerings, including yoga and Pilates, dance classes, body core, circuit training, and even a running club.

Many of the massages and other treatments offered in the spa are based on the ancient Indian medicine Ayurveda, including marma abhyanga, a body massage using warm, herb-infused oils, and shiro abhyanga, which focuses on the shoulders, head, and neck, and culminates in warm oil being dripped onto the forehead to induce a beatific state of calm.

Possibilities beyond Ayurveda include a diamond experience energy facial, Corales Well Living signature ritual, embracing a body exfoliation, an aloe vera mask, and a personalised massage.

Many products used here are by the award-winning brand Natura Bissé, and the spa also has a state-of-the-art hydrotherapy circuit with a relaxation pool with underwater jets, a cascade, swan necks, a steam room, a sauna, and a walk-through shower area.

Immerse yourself in the spectacular surroundings

Wellness and mindfulness is also, of course, linked with food, culture, and the health of the planet – something the hotel recognises with a whole range of activities for those who want to immerse themselves in Spanish life: they include tastings of local products, wine workshops, and cocktail masterclasses.

The hotel concierge can also help you to discover the spectacular natural surroundings, including Volcanic National Park (home to hiking trails up Mount Teide, Spain’s highest mountain, with a solar observatory from which you can enjoy stargazing), the Monumento Natural de Montaña Amarilla with its volcanic rock formations, the cliffs of Los Gigantes, Playa del Duque beach, and La Caleta village.
