Sail through Alaska's pristine wilderness

Embarking on a Princess Cruises Alaska sailing is such an incredible way to experience the beauty of this region. But with our exclusive itinerary, the excitement starts even before you set sail. You get to savour two amazing nights in Vancouver, where you can fully immerse yourself in this vibrant city and its remarkable lifestyle. The highlight? A visit to The Lookout, an observation deck boasting breathtaking 360° views of the entire city.

Sail through Alaska's pristine wilderness

The excitement continues after you disembark too, with a return to Vancouver for more sightseeing before picking up your hire car to drive to Whistler, where you’ll spend three nights in a magical chalet-style pedestrianised village at the base of the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, with summer activities, including zip-lining, biking, and golf.

This thrilling 15-night holiday is centred on a week-long sailing aboard the cruise line’s amazing Ruby Princess, which will take you to the jaw-dropping Inside Passage and Glacier National Park on the following itinerary:

Vancouver | At sea | Juneau | Haines | Glacier National Park (scenic cruising) | Ketchikan | At sea | Vancouver

From £3,585 per person

The entirety of the cruise is magnificent, but among the highlights are Juneau with its Mendenhall Glacier, and epic glacier ‘flightseeing’. There’s also fascinating Ketchikan with its rich Native heritage and the world's oldest collection of totem poles.

In Haines, meanwhile, you can visit Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, where as many as 4,000 of these magnificent creatures come to feast on spawning salmon along the Chilkat River. Originally a Christian town built by a Presbyterian missionary, Haines is also near Chilkoot Lake at the foot of the Takshanuk Mountains and the Ferebee Glacier to the east.

But best of all, Princess is one of just a few cruise lines allowed to cruise the pristine waters of Glacier Bay, a glorious national park and preserve with some of the world's most spectacular tidewater glaciers. As you sail, park rangers will join the ship to share their insider knowledge and help you identify wildlife, including humpback whales, sea otters, porpoises, harbour seals, black bears, mountain goats, and bald eagles.

You’ll also savour your time onboard Ruby with the likes of movies under the stars, Discovery at SEA talks by experts, and dining in tempting venues, including Sabatini’s Trattoria, The Salty Dog Gastropub, the Crown Grill steakhouse, and the Crab Shack.

While in Vancouver, you’ll stay in the Sandman Suites, which come with glorious views of English Bay, the Pacific Ocean, and the mountains. You’re just a three-minute walk from English Bay with its lovely sunsets, close to the chic cafés and dazzling nightlife of Yaletown, and to 1,000-acre Stanley Park with the Vancouver Seawall and popular Granville Island.

In Whistler, you’ll stay in the Whistler Village Inn & Suites, an authentic, rustic property in the heart of the action. It includes an outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs heated year-round, plus barbecue grills so you can fix yourself a delicious alfresco meal. Many of its rooms, lofts, studios, and suites include features such as cosy fireplaces and fully equipped kitchens.
