Los Angeles

Welcome to the glitz and glamour of L.A. where you can mix and mingle with Hollywood’s most famous! While this city is known for Santa Monica, Sunset Boulevard and Malibu, you can also escape to some of the world’s best cultural venues, including the incredible Getty Centre.

Chicago

Chicago really is ‘all that jazz’ with live music, performances and theatre across the city at all times of the day. It’s especially well-known for its improvised comedy and, of course, jazz bars.

Known as the 'windy city', it's also home to some fantastic museums, a beach, and stunning parks. Don't miss the architectural boat tours and evening cycling tours around the city!

Dallas

Big in size, big in stature, big in business, Dallas is one of the most economically influential cities in the United States. This impressive city is famous for oil, cotton and an excellent barbecue – if you love a good steak, Dallas is the city for you! Looking for something fun for the family? Jumpstreet Indoor Trampoline Park is the perfect place to release some pent up energy!

New York City

The Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Macy’s, Central Park - with so many incredible landmarks, New York City is one of those places we think everyone should visit at least once. Grab a hot dog from a local street vendor, shop for the latest fashions in Soho or stroll along the High Line and discover the city from above.

San Francisco

San Francisco is known as one of the coolest, hippest and friendliest cities in the United States, and it makes for a fantastic holiday destination. Bringing together a huge range of cultures, food, art and people in one seriously beautiful location, if you love healthy living and happy vibes then don’t miss San Francisco!

Seattle

One of the biggest port cities in the US, Seattle is a delightful mix of waterside views and green, forested areas with over 5,540 acres of parkland. Pop culture-lovers get excited – the Experience Museum Project is dedicated to contemporary popular culture. It's well worth a visit!

Denver

Positioned exactly one mile above sea level and just east of the Rocky Mountains, Denver is one of the highest major cities in the USA. It’s also one of the most culturally rich, with locals electing to dedicate a 1% sales tax to cultural and scientific endeavours in the area.

Miami

Sunshine, pastel-hued art deco buildings and spicy Caribbean food are just a few of the things that make up the stunning melting pot that is Miami. This vibrant city is heavily influenced by Hispanic culture with great food, exciting nightlife and plenty of dancing at all hours of the day.

Travel Counsellor Sally loves Miami, and recommends visiting Little Havana, "It is rumoured that one could spend a whole day in Little Havana without hearing a word of English spoken. Saturated with Cuban culture, Little Havana's main thoroughfare, Calle Ocho (Eighth Street) is lined with comfort food restaurants featuring Latin specialities and cafes where men sip cafecitos and play dominos and argue about politics all day. Here, artisans still hand-roll cigars, and tailors create custom guayaberas (traditional linen shirts), while the sounds of salsa and merengue fill the air."

Boston

If lobster and fresh seafood make your mouth water, it’s time to plan a trip to Boston! Located near to Cape Cod, this historic city is a central hub for New England. It’s also known for its literary culture with many famous writers spending time in the area. Children can enjoy the vast indoor playground that is the Children’s Museum with plenty to learn along the way. Try the Balance Climb, a three-storey climbing structure made of wires and plywood sails.

Philadelphia

Philadelphia's relaxed atmosphere makes it feel like a much smaller city. It’s home to the world’s largest landscaped park, Fairmount Park, and has more outdoor artworks than any other American city. Philadelphia was also home to America’s first hospital, library and stock exchange!

Travel Counsellor Claire recently visited Philadelphia and recommends a sports experience, "There is a lot to do in Philadelphia and plus if your timings are right you can take in an ice hockey game, American football or baseball. We saw the Philadelphia Flyers ice hockey team at the Wells Fargo Centre, and it is a great family atmosphere and tickets can start from as little as $20 each."
