Unveil the hidden gems of the dazzling Adriatic coastline

Croatia and Slovenia from Venice

Departing 8th July 2024 for 7 nights

£4,720pp for a Vista Suite - reduced from £5,900pp

Venice | Rab | Šibenik | Dubrovnik | Hvar | Zadar | Piran | Venice

Hidden coves, glorious sunsets, and fabulous local food… These are just some of the delights that await you during this unforgettable week-long jaunt around the Adriatic, taking in seven fascinating ports in three gorgeous countries – Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia. As you sail, you’ll enjoy the fantastic facilities of Silver Whisper, one of Silverseas’ intimate, all-suite vessels with large-ship amenities, including a wonderful spa and four tempting restaurants.

You’ll start and finish your Adriatic adventure in Venice, which barely needs an introduction – even if you’ve been before, there are surprises around every corner: hidden squares, tiny bacari where locals jostle at the bar for authentic cicchetti, and beautiful churches. And then, of course, there are the iconic major sights: the Rialto Bridge, the Campanile di San Marco, and the Doge’s Palace.

From here you’ll travel to Croatia, where the protected geopark island of Rab awaits with its cliffs, sandbars, dunes, and pine forests to explore. Here, you have eight excursions to choose from, including a hike through the geopark trail up Kamenjak Hill, a walking tour of historic Rab Town, and a sight-seeing tour along the Rab peninsula.

Šibenik is next up: Croatia’s oldest native town, and one immersed in medieval Dalmatian charm. You’ll want to see the UNESCO World Heritage Sites here and perhaps visit the Smoked Ham House to learn about the production of Dalmatian prosciutto, but you can also opt to venture into gorgeous Krka National Park to see its picture-postcard waterfalls.

Dubrovnik is another spot that scarcely needs an introduction, but a choice of 11 excursions makes this cruise a particularly good way of discovering or rediscovering the city known for is remarkable medieval walls, including a Game of Thrones discovery walk taking in filming location sites including The Pile Gate and Fort Lovrijenac.

The island of Hvar combines incredible natural beauty with glamour thanks to its yacht-filled marinas and party atmosphere. One of your options here includes a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain, where you can visit the Lavender Museum & Distillery, pick organic vegetables, and help prepare a traditional brunch with your hosts.

Zadar is Croatia’s ‘capital of cool’, blending Roman and Venetian monuments with modern attractions including the unique Sea Organ, which produces sounds from the waves entering its pipes, and the interactive Monument to the Sun. Other than urban exploring, you might venture into Paklenica National Park with its breathtaking geological formations, among them natural works of art known as ‘škrape’.

Before heading back to Venice, you’ll discover the enchanting seaside town of Piran on Slovenia’s tiny sliver of coastline, with cobbled alleys, medieval walls, Venetian-style facades, a pretty harbour, and a belltower with panoramic views. From here you might visit the UNESCO-listed Lipica stud farm, where white Lipizzaner horses are bred, to watch over 300 of them galloping through the fields and have a tour of the historic grounds.
