My Travel Diaries
I took my 5 year old daughter and my mum to Disneyland Paris for a 4 day break.
We flew from Newcastle into Charles de Gaulle, then took the TGV high speed train straight to Marne la Vallee, which took less than ten minutes.
On the first morning my daughter had on her Princess Belle dress, and every member of staff at the hotel greeted her as if she were a princess.
Once in the Disney Park, the reaction was the same, staff helping her onto rides and bowing or curtseying to her, well as if being in Disneyland wasn’t enough for her I don’t think she could believe it.
We also went to lunch with the Disney Princesses. This was an unforgettable experience.
When we first arrived, Cinderella footmen met us at the door, then introduced Rebekah to Cinderella herself. I thought that my daughter may burst with excitement. We were then shown to our seats at the table, and to see the look on her face when Sleeping Beauty introduced her to one of Cinderella's mice as her very special friend it was more than I could have hoped for.
All the Princesses came to the table one by one and chatted with her and had their photograph taken with her and signed her autograph book. I don’t think she will ever forget it.
As it is Disneyland Paris’ 15th birthday there was a spectacular show at the end of the evening, with Mickey Mouse and all his friends, and one by one, fifteen candles were lit up on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.
It really is a magical experience, and one I won’t forget, it makes you feel like a child again, the magic is infectious.
