Hi, I’m Julie and I’m a Travel Counsellor based near Cheltenham in the Cotswolds. Having worked in the travel and sports hospitality industry for over 25 years, I am an experienced tour operator and business and leisure travel manager, well versed in every aspect of local and International travel.
As well as devising exciting, bespoke itineraries, romantic honeymoons, action-packed multi destination holidays and handling last minute business travel arrangements, I have also managed and specialised in International sports group travel.
For 10 years I organised and led VIP supporters tours to various international sporting events including rugby, cricket, horseracing, tennis and golf, and have travelled extensively as a result to the Far East, Hong Kong, USA, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe.
I was more recently Travel Manager for the USA Men's National rugby team (Eagles) having organised the travel for their last 2 tours to Europe and South America.
Without doubt, travel is my passion in life and I am delighted to be working as an independent travel counsellor with the invaluable support of a head office that enables me to provide around-the-clock service to my clients. The last 2 years have been challenging but also incredibly encouraging helping customers throughout this period and am very proud to belong to a wonderful organisation now voted by Martin Lewis as the best agency in UK dealing with refunds and Covid issues.
What is more, I am also part of our global network of experienced Travel Counsellors who are readily at hand to provide the very latest destination advice and incomparable local knowledge: from that ‘go to’ restaurant, to those special little places not so widely known to the mainstream tourist market.

My own favourite destinations include the glittering slopes and après-ski glamour of Zermatt, the sparkling Amalfi Coast and the warm, soothing beaches of Barbados. My recent city break favourites have got to be New York for its high energy and sophistication; and beautiful Copenhagen for its charm, that famous Danish ‘hygge’ and a cosy café I recommend in winter for the most deliciously warming glass of gløgg.

I have been using Julie as my travel agent for the last 3 years and her expertise and knowledge is amazing, she organised my last trip to Thailand just before Covid and the whole holiday was such a wonderful experience, I have lived off the memory of that trip for the last 12 months. I had planned a trip to Australia during the pandemic which had to be cancelled and the whole process of getting refunded was made so easy and straightforward as Julie organised it all for me dealing with the hotel and airline directly leaving me completely stress free and not a penny out of pocket.

Hi Julie
I wanted to put down in writing our thanks for organising such a wonderful holiday for us in China. It was an amazing experience.
The hotels were marvellous, everything worked like clockwork - every pickup, drop off, excursion all went really well.
I think the highlights had to be The Great Wall. It was certainly worth travelling the 2.5 hours to Jinshanling to avoid the crowds and experience a section of the wall almost to ourselves, our guide was really good and he also took lots of great photos which he gave to us at the end of the day.
The Tai Chi class that you organised was great fun and we loved your recommendation to stay at the Yangtse Boutique Hotel in Shanghai - not much to look at from the outside on first arrival but what a gem! A beautifully restored 1920s Art Deco building with enormous, comfortable rooms , reminiscent of Shanghai in the 20s. Shanghai itself was astonishing - like something out of Blade Runner.
So many, many thanks for your hard work and giving us such a fabulous holiday, one we will never forget.
