About Me

I'm Julie I live in the Heworth area of York and I have been both a leisure and business Travel Counsellor since 2001.

As your Personal Travel Counsellor I aim to share my knowledge with you to assist you in booking your perfect trip time and time again.

Before I became a Travel Counsellor I studied a HND in Leisure and Tourism Management at York College and have since gained experience within the travel industry in both a work and leisure basis and hope to share my passion for travel with you.

I won the coveted Travel Agent of the year award for the Yorkshire and Humber area. This helped me realize that I wanted to concentrate on giving my customers the highest possible levels of personal service and independent travel advice. Joining Travel Counsellors has enabled me to have the time to share my passion for travel with my customers whilst being able to offer the best holidays and travel arrangements available.

Being the mother of three my areas of interest are family holidays, European, UK, long haul and cruising and I usually have one or two handy tips up my sleeve for a contented family trip!

In the past few years my favourite destinations have been the Caribbean with trips to Jamaica, Cuba and Barbados. This has enabled me to recently become a Caribbean specialist with the Caribbean Tourism board. I am also a Certified Sandals and Beaches specialist and particularly enjoy planning weddings and honeymoons. I also love Europe with recent holidays to Cyprus, Germany, Belgium, Turkey and Spain where I enjoy discovering small towns and villages off the tourist route. I have been lucky to visit and holiday on board several cruise ships and have gained training certificates with leading cruise companies.

It goes without saying though that I love arranging all holidays and travel requirements from UK mini-breaks or flight only to an exotic tailor made once in a lifetime trip!
