Harthill Hall, Peak District

This is the second time I have visited Harthill Hall and it was just as good as the first time. Situated between Bakewell and Matlock Bath and surrounded by beautiful countryside, it really does offer something for everyone.

Accommodation can cater from two people in Henry’s Haunt up to 18 people in The Manor House, many have their own hot tubs, private gardens and BBQ area. They are all fully equipped with microwaves, dishwashers, en-suite bathrooms and much, much more.

This time myself and all my family (14 of us) stayed in The Barn, with an amazing picture frame window with fantastic views it was just perfect. Kids were occupied with the games room that included Wii, table tennis and a pool table. All 6 bedrooms were en-suite and there were amazing bunk beds so all the kids could sleep in the same room. (Remarkably this actually resulted in little mayhem).

Also available was an indoor swimming pool with one hours exclusive use per unit per day. There was also a sauna and you are able to book beauty treatments. An outdoor play area for the kids and some very friendly horses were also on hand.

There are several lovely walks you can do direct from Harthill Hall. Further afield you can visit Chatsworth House and the lovely town of Bakewell. Enjoy a trip into Matlock Bath and take the cable car up to the Heights of Abraham and enjoy the cave tour. You can also enjoy Gulliver’s World theme park.

I would thoroughly recommend to all.
