My Travel Diaries

Barbados, just what you imagined.

Sunday 6th May 2007

4 Stars

We have travelled to Barbados many times and we have always enjoyed it like it was our first adventure to the Caribbean.
We have stayed at the Almond Beach Club & Spa which overlooks the Caribbean on the west coast of Barbados in the parish of St. James. Located 6 miles from Bridgetown, the island capital, and approximately 30 minutes' drive from Grantley Adams International Airport.
The hotel is as an all inclusive property and we have stayed in super suites and double rooms and they have all been amazing.
The staff are very friendly and you are always greeted with a cocktail as you register your stay- how nice is that?

The hotel has three inter-connecting swimming pools and Jacuzzi, and all the other facilities you would expect. The restaurant serves international dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner whilst the very colourful Enids offers West Indian/Barbadian cuisine and also has four bars to tempt you...
Guests can also dine at the other Almond properties on the island. We can thoroughly recommend dining in the Italian restaurant La Smarrita at the Village, my husband had his 50th birthday there and it was night we will never forget.
The Village also has a golf club and you can experience all the other facilities and this allows you a change of scenery from time to time.
The hotel offers you tours such as the Island Picnic which lets you visit the other coastline of Bathesba which is very dramatic and a very worth while day out.

So if you are thinking of travelling to Barbados why not give me call?
