Barbados Wedding and Romance Trip

Its somewhere that I have always wanted to visit so I was really lucky to have been chosen to go to Barbados on a Wedding and Romantic Fam. It was just what I expected. It has perfect places for marriage proposals, weddings and honeymoons. Can cater for small and large groups so perfect for a large family wedding or a small individual one!

For wedding venues, you can say 'I do' on a sandy beach with palms swaying, have a full catholic mass, relax in the privacy of a luxury villa, or take over an old Merchants House on the outskirts of Bridgetown - Sweetfield Manor. This was one of my favorite places, a 10 bedroomed Colonial House, 15 minutes from Bridgetown. And you can get married within 24 hours! All you need is your passport.

We saw many properties and all had their unique take on weddings as well as catering for the normal guest. So a large variety of choices were available – the west coast had great properties right on the beach. Colony Club was another favourite, and for a complete contrast you could stay on the rugged East Coast at the Santosha Hotel – log style cabins between Bathsheba and Speightstown. Of course you can’t swim on this part of the island but hiring a car is a great idea to visit this spectacular scenery.

There were a number of highlights for me but two of the best were snorkeling with turtles! Two firsts and the Island Safari! Fantastic way to see the island in a 4 x 4 jeep- off road was amazing but not for the fainthearted.

And of course, the Bajans are great friendly people – all in all a great destination to visit. Give me a call for any further information.
