About Me
My name is Lisa McDonald and I am an independent travel agent in Kidlington, Oxford. I have worked in the travel industry for over 17 years. I joined Travel Counsellors in 1997 and before that I worked my way up from Trainee Consultant to a Manager at Thomas Cook.
I joined Travel Counsellors as I wanted to concentrate on giving my customers the highest possible levels of personal service and independent travel advice.
As your own professional Travel Counsellor I can use our award winning technology and my personal expertise to tailor make exactly the right holiday to suit your needs. Rather than selling you a standard tour operator package, I can quickly search through hundreds of different flight, accommodation and transfer alternatives to find something that suits your needs exactly. Quite often this means I can build you a bespoke holiday at a cheaper price than the standard holiday package you might get elsewhere.
I recognise that not everyone is free to discuss their travel arrangements during the working week. My company’s technology enables me to work from home and means you can contact me at times when most other travel agents are unavailable, including evenings and weekends.
I love holidays onboard the Royal Caribbean International fleet and have been on quite a few of their ships taking in various itineraries in the Caribbean. This is my speciality along with the Far East which I have extensive knowledge of and can tailor make anything you like.
I was also lucky enough to travel to Cape Town, South Africa twice in 2007 and loved every minute. I can help you put together the ultimate itinerary including a safari, maybe shark diving, a winelands tour - anything you like.
To be honest I have a contagious passion for travel so anything you're thinking of I would love to share your ideas and help you put together the perfect trip. Along with all the extras you may need from car parking, travel insurance, executive lounge passes or foreign exchange.
