My wife and I wanted to organise a much-needed city break; just a couple of days together to re-charge our batteries. The demands of work and family meant that we simply never got around to finding time to research and arrange a suitable holiday break.

I contacted Margaret Ramm at Travel Counsellors and asked her to sort something out. That single phone call resulted in a fantastic city break in Venice in early November. Margaret put together a few options for us to choose from and then organised all our travel and accommodation needs - right down to writing out our luggage labels for both the outbound and inbound journeys! All we had to do was turn up at the airport. The restaurant she recommended was lovely and we would not have found it without her directions as it was tucked away down one of those slender, innocuous alleyways which are so typical of Venice.
