My Travel Diaries
We have been twice to Menorca, in June 2007 we visited Son Bou and August 2008 we went to Cala N Blanes.
Son Bou has a lovely sandy beach and is less than half an hour from the airport. It is a very quiet resort and I would definitely recommend a car if you were staying longer than a week or just wanted to explore the Island.
There are several restaurants and bars, but overall our holiday was very peaceful and quiet!
We loved Cala n Blanes, it has so much to offer families! Most of the bars and restaurants have bouncy castles or play areas for children so parents can have a meal or a drink in peace! There is a variety of restaurants to chose from. In the resort there is two huge bouncy castles, a whale and a rabbit where you can pay 2.50 euros and the children can go on as long as they like and get a free ice cream on the way out. Again parents can eat/drink while they wait!
The beach is very small although it is excellent for children and they were able to paddle in the clear waters! There is also a small waterpark in the resort, which we found to be quite expensive and not really good for young children.
A great holiday which I would not hesitate to recommend!
