My name is Melanie Kay Johnson and I live in Rossendale in Lancashire with my two daughters and my black labrador. I have been helping people to plan their holiday dreams for the last 35 years, a career which has helped me share my passion for travel.
In October 2023, I will have been a Travel Counsellor for 20 years. It is the best time I have ever had in the travel industry. Travel Counsellors allows me to share my extensive knowledge with you & personalise your adventures & experiences.

I am so glad to have been able to keep my business ticking over since the pandemic. Thankfully travel is moving fast & furious & I am really excited for us to be able to travel again. Whether it be on trains, planes or automobiles. Cruises, buses or horseback. The world is opening up again & I am more than happy to help you find the perfect holiday
I have travelled all over the world including the Far East, Australia, South Africa and United Arab Emirates as well as all over Europe to name but a few. My greatest experience so far was a visit to Johannesburg and the Madikwe Game reserve where I saw the most fantastic animals in the wild. Also I visited the Kruger National Park and travelled to Mpumalanga, White River, Hazey View and God's Window. South Africa is just the most amazing country.
In 2019 I visited California. We stayed in Huntington Beach, Palm Springs and San Diego. This was a first time visit to America for me. I really enjoyed it, so much to see & do for all ages. I took in a visit to the MS Midway which was out of this world & also watched the LA Dodgers play a game.
In March 2020 my friends & I went to New York for the weekend, wow, just wow!! It was never on my bucket list & I only went because it was for a friends 40th but I am pleased to say I absolutely loved it! We flew on Aer Lingus via Dublin so cleared customs there, its much easier than flying direct into JFK. Lots to say about New York! I can plan the best itinerary for you.
I also have a wealth of cruise knowledge after sailing on many wonderful ships including many Royal Caribbean & Celebrity ships & the last one being the MSC Bellissima. Many new ships are launching soon Celebrity Ascent, MSC Euribia, Seven Seas Grandeur & Silver Nova with Silversea cruises to name but a few. I have passengers booked on the Wonder Of The Seas which is currently the biggest ship in the world
My expertise lies in long haul travel, round the world itineraries, luxury travel and I also arrange many weddings and honeymoons abroad. I also specialise in family holidays for all ages.

Melanie has made the whole daunting experience of booking a holiday for a family when one member has access needs an absolute pleasure. I have full confidence that melanie understands our needs. I always use Melanie to look for and book any overseas holidays however large or small. The requests have varied from a family holiday in Menorca, booking flights for 22 passengers to Barcelona and more recently a family holiday to Barbados.
