Some Winter Sun in Grenada

I fancied a week away before Xmas for some Winter sun and why not Grenada, an island in the Caribbean I had not been before, known as the Spice Isle.

We stayed at the Sandals LaSource Grenada and Spa which was my second time I had stayed at a Sandals property and this one definitely did not fail to impress. It is situated in the heart of Grenada’s exclusive Pink Gin beach.

The resort itself is beautiful, well maintained with gorgeous flowers everywhere and there are quite a lot of different room types, some with infinity pools as balconies. The rooms are modern and spacious also. There are 10 restaurants which offer unlimited fine dining, my favourite being ‘Butch’s Chophouse’ the best steak and lobster tails I have had. The food and service were amazing, we could not have faulted anything. There was so much to do within the resort, which was your choice whether you partook or just flip and flop on the beach which I opted to do. It is set on a beautiful white with clear waters and can walk quite a long way out of the resort along the beach.

We took a boat trip which was complimentary from the resort, it went along the coast to St Georges so was nice to get to see some of the beautiful island which is very green and lush.

I had a great time in Grenada and will certainly return one day, I would say it had a more ‘Caribbean’ feel to it in comparison to some of the other islands which I have stayed on and this is what I liked.

A lovely winter break for sure.
