New York city break!
We stayed at The Court - St Giles hotel in Midtown. A fabulous location and we even had a view of the Empire State building from our room. A plus side to jet-lag was that we managed to wake up to some spectacular sunrises behind the Empire State building and also have an early start on all the sights! 4:30am has never been so pleasant!
The four days passed in a wonderful haze of amazing food, long walks and a lot of fun. I would highly recommend Katz's Deli for meat and general deliciousness and Ellen's Stardust for a food experience like no other. All the waiters and waitresses sing in rotation and the kids were entranced. They particularly loved it when our waitress started singing while handing them their drinks!
All in all, I cannot fault New York for a city break - if you want to go somewhere fast paced but strangely relaxing at the same time, fun but the perfect mix of parks, food, sights and amazingness - come here. Take the kids as I promise you, they will open your eyes to New York like you've never seen it before.
