Welcome…
Based in Margate, Kent, since 1978, I have been in the travel industry for over 30 years now. I am married to Maureen and have two sons, Alistair and Graham.
During those 30 years I have managed two high street travel agencies, but I started with Travel Counsellors in November 1997, and have loved every minute of it. It is like being part of a large family group all eager and willing to share experiences and knowledge on a subject we all love.
With Travel Counsellors, I have been able to concentrate on my customers priorities providing a comprehensive travel service both in and sometimes out of office hours. I have been able to spend more time researching; concentrating on providing the right product to suit, without the pressure of directional selling associated with the high street. I aim always to create customers for life and indeed have become good friends with many of my clients even though some live in different parts of the country. Some I have never seen but we still keep in regular touch.
My clients come back year after year because - they tell me this - I offer an individual personal service and great value for money.
I have travelled extensively in Europe, the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, and Australasia, and have visited several countries within South America too.
I specialise in bespoke holidays and worldwide cruising itineraries, and I also book many package holidays and worldwide flights. I am officially recognised by the Australian Tourist Commission as an Australia Specialist too. This qualification gives me access to lots of specialist information on Australia, very difficult to find elsewhere. Just recently I also qualified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Diver too, and now have a keen interest in diving destinations.
I enjoy arranging holidays and hearing others experiences and of course I love all my own holidays too. Two of my favourite destinations are New Zealand and Canada, but I just love a cruise. I love the calm and serene way in which a cruise transports you through your itinerary leaving you to completely immerse yourself in the cruise experience and the destinations you visit. It is a seamless experience.
