I just had to write and let you know about my recent trip to the Seychelles. The flights were excellent as always with Air Seychelles. During my first week on the main island Mahe, I stayed one night at the Hilton Northome Hotel and one night at the Banyan Tree Hotel. Both of these five star hotels were excellent, set in beautiful locations, with excellent staff and good food. I also visited the two Meridien group hotels - the Barbarons and the Fisherman’s Cove. I island hopped to Praslin during my second week and stayed at the five star Le Muria which is a Golf & Spa Resort, and then stayed for one night at the three star Le Relax Hotel, where the manager there, Mr Robert Toussant, could not do enough for his customers from the minute they entered his hotel.

On the whole from my experience I have to say that the Hilton Northolme was by far the best hotel on Mahe for me, from the moment I arrived they made myself and my partner feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. You are brought to a wonderful arrival lounge before you are taken to your room and I have to say the rooms are excellent. The staff were so attentive throughout the whole hotel and they can never do enough for you no matter what your request. The location the hotel sits on, has to be one of the best on the island. The food, of which most is cooked freshly in front of you, just makes you want to go back for more, which you can eat whilst looking at the view across the ocean. I was very impressed with this hotel and would definitely return again as soon as I can, be it a holiday, wedding or honeymoon, they can accommodate you. The facilities at this hotel are extremely good and once you are in the hotel you may not want to leave.

The Seychelles affords huge contrasts, from the variety of islands and activities on offer, as well as the choice of accommodation - from small guest houses to luxury island resorts. The islands of the Seychelles have so much to offer for a variety of clients of differing ages and visitors will not be disappointed. For those considering an overseas wedding, honeymoon, or perhaps an anniversary, Seychelles has to be the most romantic destination!

To visit just one Seychelles Island, whatever Seychelles holiday you are on, would mean missing out. Islands are so diverse that I would encourage Seychelles Island Hopping.
