Dear Ros,

Just a quick line to thank you for all your help and support last week when unfortunately due to the extreme weather conditions we were unable to fly from Heathrow airport. I had booked a trip to The Ice Hotel in Sweden for my partners 50th. I was amazed that you answered your mobile and took my call so late in the day and especially as you were celebrating your sons 21st birthday to listen to my concerns and worries regarding the flight the next day, you put my mind at rest and I slept soundly knowing that you had done all you could to make sure that I would not be overly worried regarding the issues that lay ahead the next morning.

The next day we arrived early at Heathrow to all flights cancelled for the day and there was already a backlog of 2 days worth of flights due to the bad weather. Again you were immediately on hand to advise – although hundreds of passengers surrounding us were ringing airlines and travel agencies to get constant ‘engaged’ tones. You advised correctly that we should leave the airport and start to make the return journey home at no time were you unavailable or non-committal. During the journey home you rang to advise we could have a full refund or re book the holiday at another time to suit, this news was reassuring and you handled the whole situation with professionalism and empathy (as you know I would have been slightly disappointed as we were going away to celebrate my partners 50th Birthday)

I would like to thank you personally for the support and help that I received during this time as I know other travellers had a stressful time and also the fact that financially I have not lost out. Travel Counsellors take the stress out of travelling and the service you provide is second to none.

I can totally vouch for the level of service Travel Counsellors provides - having been abroad when XL Air went bust! Many other holidaymakers were panicking as they had booked their flights direct through the internet - however we had got just as good a deal, but booked them through Ros.

(Many folks dont realise that its the financial bonding that gets you home - NOT your travel insurance - and all holidays booked through Ros are covered through the company's Trust).

I recently found a great deal through a website - but phoned Ros to make the booking through her, which she did and matched the price. Good job as the original holiday would have been booked with a company who went bust!
