About Me
Hi, my name is Sam McCann, and I'm a Travel Counsellor based in the historical market town of Aylsham in Norfolk.
My passion for travel started at a very young age and since then I’ve continued to want to experience different countries and cultures. The anticipation of another holiday adventure still continues to excite, as does discovering new sights, smells, tastes, and making a friend or two along the way.
I entered the travel industry 15 years ago in 2003, starting with a BA degree in Travel & Tourism Management. My career first took me to London where I tailor-made travel to Asia and Southern Africa. Since moving to Norfolk in 1999, I have worked in management, training and sales worldwide so that I can now bring a wealth of experience in helping you plan the right holiday, wherever in the world that might be.
The unique concept of having your own Personal Travel Counsellor means I can tailor your holiday plans to your specific needs. You can call me from the comfort of your home or I can visit you to discuss your travel requirements, safe in the knowledge that you will be receiving the very best service. At Travel Counsellors we are not biased towards any specific product, unlike High Street travel agents, who through a lack of personal service have all suffered, and are having to employ inexperienced staff due to the cut throat nature of this industry.
I can organise all type of travel, whether you’re looking for a last-minute holiday from a regional airport, a specialist family holiday (I have a young child of my own), or round-the-world tailor made itineraries. I have travelled extensively and can advise on any type of travel, be it a relaxing holiday or weekend in Europe, Lapland for all the family, a honeymoon to Mauritius, wildlife viewing in Canada, farm stays in New Zealand, a tailor-made tour to India, or to my favourite destinations - Malaysia in the Far East. I also have lots of ‘Little Gems’ for those ‘off the beaten track’ properties with character in rural locations. I can do it all!
