This is a beautiful little resort, built around a relatively small harbour featuring magnificent sea views and a stunning mountain back drop.

There is an excellent choice of small boutique style hotels, some of which are for adults only. There are also some superb villa options, with all mod cons and with plenty of rooms to cater for large families or groups of friends, particularly in some of the neighbouring villas. If you prefer the more traditional Turkish Villa; then exclusive mountain retreats with private pools and stunning views are also an option.

Excellent spa facilities in some of the hotels, really do give you the opportunity to completely chill out and unwind. There are also some amazing couple’s facilities, great for honeymooners that don’t want to go long haul.

With a fantastic array of restaurants offering local, international and fine dining cuisine; this friendly little resort is perfect for those who prefer to relax and enjoy good food. With an abundance of small well-furnished cafes and bars alongside the harbour, it’s perfect for watching this little world go by.

Kalkan itself has a small shingle beach; however Patara beach is only a short ride away on the local bus and provides 10 miles of undisturbed soft sand. Home to breeding turtles it is a protected site with not a hotel in sight on the beach!

You can also visit some of the neighbouring historical sites of Xanthos and Latoon, or take a boat ride from the harbour around some of the beautiful little bays and coves with excellent swimming opportunities.

The nearby town of Kas is only a half hour drive down the coast, but what a beautiful drive. A slightly larger town than Kalkan it has a similar beautiful harbour surrounded by cafes, bars and a town square!

The toughest decision with Kalkan is which property to stay in and where to eat!!!
