About Me
My name is Sandra and I look forward to becoming your Travel Counsellor. I grew up in Chapelhall, spent 12 years in Crawley, West Sussex and lived in France for 2 years before moving back to Airdrie 7 years ago.
I started my working life as a Coach Hostess on Parks of Hamilton coaches in 1988, taking people to France and Spain. I was Cabin Crew for 13 years with Virgin Atlantic, Ground Staff at Gatwick and worked overseas in Ibiza, Mallorca and Torremolinos before coming home to work for an airline consolidator in their business travel department. I also put together trips around Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Asia and the USA.
I have personally travelled to many destinations - South Africa being one my favourite destinations as I have been on several safari’s in Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands, wine tasting trips to Franchhoek, Stellenbosch and Paarl and driven along the Garden Route. I have driven from Auckland to Christchurch in New Zealand, visited Sydney, Melbourne, Ayers Rock, Port Douglas and dived at the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. I love Hong Kong for the shopping, the nightlife, the Star Ferry and my favourite restaurant, The American Peking! I visited many cities in the USA - New York, Boston, Miami, Orlando, Chicago, Washington D.C, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles and I always enjoy visiting my brother in Orange County!
My aim is to offer my clients the best personalised one-to-one service for all their travel needs. Unlike the high street, at Travel Counsellors I am able to assist my clients at the time and day to suit them. With the use of the very latest technology and working with many leading tour operators, I can offer the best value and choice available; couple that with my experience and you can’t go wrong!
