Having booked many customers to Turkey in the past few years, Turkey is a place I have always wanted to visit myself, so we choose the Olu Deniz area for a week of relaxation.

On arrival at Dalaman airport early evening our pre-booked taxi awaited us. We arrived at our hotel, Lykia World in time for our evening meal.

This hotel is completely self contained with its own private beach and beautiful gardens, is of a very high standard in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and is suitable for every age group.

The hotel has a total of 10 restaurants comprising 3 main restaurants, 5 a la carte which offered different world cuisines ( Italian, Fish, Chinese, Sushi and Turkish ) and 2 children Restaurants. All meals were included, plus drinks served with the meals, table wine, beer and soft drinks. The food was excellent, and most evenings we dined overlooking the sea and watched the sun going down.

Lykia World offers two types of rooms, The Residence and The Village. The Residence is where we stayed, and is ideal for singles or couples who prefer the relaxing atmosphere of a club hotel, and The village rooms, numerous buildings within the grounds set in colourful gardens, more suitable for families.

The hotel offers lots of facilities, 19 tennis court, rock climbing, Spa centre, evening entertainments and many swimming pools, including children pool with 20 waterslides, and children clubs.

During our stay we tried lots of the water sports. We also used the Thalasso Spa and Beauty Centre, here we had a relaxing massage and used the Turkish Bath, but most of the time we lounged around the “adult only” pool and soaked up the sun!

We ventured from the complex a couple of times and took a taxi to the beautiful lagoon of Olu Deniz about 3 km away, this lively resort with plenty of shops and bars where we bought our souvenirs, and visited the beach, arguably the most famous in Turkey!

The hospitality and friendliness of the people in Turkey was excellent and certainly somewhere I would like to return to one day.
