I started working in travel back in 1987 when I left college and joined Travel Counsellors in May 2003 to run my own franchise. I have sold everything from tailor-made holidays, cruises, flights and UK breaks to short haul packages. The Travel Counsellors concept provides a friendly and hassle free way of making your travel arrangements from the comfort of your own home or office. As I work from home I am available at hours that suit you and whilst I may not work 24-7 (after all I need some down time too), I am available for my customers when they need me.
I love knowing that I have been part of making happy holiday memories! I am extremely lucky that I have the best job in the world! My regular customers know how much I love this job and despite the challenges of Covid-19 I wouldn't want to do any other job. I get to travel around the world every day. Some days that may be close to home but on others I can find myself travelling to Dubai, the USA and then off to Australia! It all depends on where my clients take me!
I don't advertise, as my regular customers do a great job in referring me to their friends and family and my repeat business is over 70%. Many of my customers have become friends and I feel as if I am on their holiday as they keep in touch sending holiday snaps! I have booked some families for such a long time now that I have booked the next 2 generations which really does make my job so personal.
You are guaranteed a personal, honest and friendly service! By dealing with me you are also guaranteed to get through to me directly rather than someone anonymous in a call centre. I can’t be compared to online travel providers because I am a person offering a personal service! I am self-employed and finding the right holiday for you is important to me not only because it’s your holiday and it must be right but I want you to come back time and time again!

Simone is a Travel Counsellor of infinite patience. No matter what we throw at her, she always comes up trumps. This year, as two families, we didn’t really know where we wanted to go, or what we wanted to do. We each had a vague idea , but no firm intent. After presenting us with numerous options we finally made our minds up. Then came the minor changes and additions. As always Simone delivered with humour, professionalism and patience. There is a reason we come back to her year after year and that is her unfailing ability to deliver. Simone was amazing
Simone booked us a trip to a gorgeous villa just outside the town of Beziers in the South of France, including flights and hire cars. Simone was amazing, dealing with all our questions, changes to what we wanted and ultimately changing our travel plans for the final part of our journey home. Everything was so easy and the arrangements were fantastic. The villa was gorgeous and suited our needs perfectly. Simone just ‘got’ us and our needs and we had the best time. Can’t thank her enough.
