CLIA conference in Copenhagen

As you'll know if you've read my other blogs, I do love a cruise. I think from last count I’ve been on just over 20, as well as numerous ship visits around the UK. When CLIA announced they were hosting an event in Copenhagen featuring ships rarely seen in the UK, I jumped at the opportunity.

I'm very fortunate enough to have sailed on Regent Seven Seas Explorer so I was thrilled that day one started on this stunning ship. After a brilliant presentation from Kelly of Regent we were treated to a fabulous lunch and tour of the ship, including the private dining room which is exclusive for the guests in the Regent suite. I love Kelly's advice on booking Regent - it's not what it costs to get on the ship it's what it costs to get off! With Regent everything is included from luxurious fine dining and branded drinks to the shore excursions.

Day two was onboard Royal Princess, a beautiful ship. We were treated on here to a sample of one of their shows in the atrium as well as another scrumptious lunch. The weather wasn't very kind to us over the weekend, but it didn't dampen our spirits and we enjoyed a canal cruise including the Little Mermaid and tour of the world famous Carlsberg factory, with of course one or two samples.

The final day was onboard the Norwegian Getaway, which I was very intrigued to see. I loved the feel of the ship. A very relaxed vibe on board and I certainly now have this one on my bucket list!

We had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Tivioli Gardens, but unfortunately the weather did put a halt to seeing much, but that's a great reason to go back!

As part of the weekend we also enjoyed great presentations from cruise industry experts, helping us in our business in various areas such as selling world cruise and expedition cruises which are becoming very popular. The whole weekend was brilliantly organised by CLIA and like many such events I made a lot of new contacts and friends in the trade.

As you'll see from my pictures, TC Ted enjoyed his times too #TCExperience
