About Me
Hello.
My name is Tommy Millar. I am a Travel Counsellor based in Campbeltown on the beautiful peninsula of Kintyre. Apart from my University days in Edinburgh, I have lived here all my life, and to be honest, would not want to live anywhere else. I am married to Lorna and have three grown up sons, Kenny, Colin and Ewan.
I became a Travel Counsellor in January 2007. Prior to that I owned G.S. Travel, with shops in Campbeltown and Lochgilphead. Both shops traded successfully but in recent years I could see that the face of travel was changing. With the rise of the internet and e-mail communication, it became clear to me that although levels of service remained of prime importance to many people, this could still be achieved without the costly overheads of running shops, especially two that were 50 miles apart. Having spent a year assessing the merits of various homeworking companies, I became convinced that Travel Counsellors offered the best package and support to allow me to continue to offer the high standard of service that my customers were accustomed to, and so decided to become a Travel Counsellor.
Being a Travel Counsellor allows me devote more time to each enquiry. Working from home, there are no time constraints and it means that I can finish an enquiry without the need to lock up and go home at the end of a working day. Indeed, I find that much of my business is done in the evenings as that often suits my customers best. As I am not an avid TV viewer that suits me fine. So please feel free to contact me at anytime. The only time you are unlikely to get hold of me is a Saturday when I am likely to be following my favourite football team around the four corners of Scotland.
Please contact me soon. I treat each enquiry as if it was my own. Rest assured, I will do my very best for you. I know you will not be disappointed.
