About Me
I have lived in Stratford upon Avon for 15 years after moving from Yorkshire, so I am no stranger to wonderful countryside. My parents live in the beautiful Charente region of South West France, close to Limoges, on the borders of the Dordogne. I have travelled extensively in France and also the rest of Europe, as well as many worldwide destinations.
One of my main areas of expertise is Weddings Abroad & Honeymoons. it's such a pleasure to feel you have helped to make someone’s dream wedding or honeymoon come true! I have visited some of the most incredible destinations in the world for Weddings and Honeymoons. In October 2010, I went to Cyprus with Planet Holidays to view wedding locations in and around the Paphos area, see my Travel Journal for details of the wonderful locations and hotels we saw.
I have visited the Far East and the Caribbean, and seen some of the most prestigious hotels and destinations for holidays or Honeymoons and Weddings. I was also lucky enough to visit the Cook Islands, which is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, near Fiji!! I had seen DVD’s, but nothing could prepare me for the splendour of the real thing! Just beautiful! Add to that the friendly people and the value for money and you have a perfect main holiday, Wedding/Honeymoon destination or an ideal stopover on the way to New Zealand or Australia.
One of the most idyllic places on earth must be the Maldives, like jewels in the Indian Ocean, I was able to combine an unforgettable trip there, with an additional stay in Sri Lanka, which amazed me with its diversity of the culture, beaches, jungles, ancient cities and for the ‘aaah’ factor the elephant orphanage!
Being part of Travel Counsellors has given me the chance to continue organising Weddings and Honeymoons, along with many other areas of travel such as tailor made holidays, city breaks and the other love of my life.. horse riding holidays! The thrill of a horseback safari in Kenya, Cattle Driving on a ranch in Arizona or maybe just ambling along in the beautiful French countryside.
