Birthday at the Hard Rock Hotel - Tenerife

This year I decided to spend my birthday at the Hard Rock Hotel in Tenerife!

To really celebrate in style, we flew British Airways Club Europe from Gatwick. The lounge is a great experience and it’s always good to have a glass of chilled champagne before you depart!

I would definitely recommend Club Europe as Tenerife is over a 4-hour flight. A lovely breakfast and plenty of fizz flowing and the crew were very attentive.

On arrival at Tenerife Airport, immigration and customs was very quick and we headed towards the counter for our private transfer to the Hard Rock Hotel, which was swift and well organised. Check in at the Hard Rock was excellent and the welcome drink went down well.

We were taken to our room straight away, which was lovely, the lovely Joanne Peters (sales manager) had arranged for Cava and a birthday cake in our room.

After a swim in the pool we decided to check out the local bars and restaurants would definitely recommend L'Incontro, especially the Paella and house Roja.

The next day was my birthday and celebrations were in full swing. After the best breakfast ever with everything you could imagine, it was chill out time. The Hard Rock Hotel has three pools; adults only and two that cater for kids. As it wasn't a children's holiday we decided on the main pool with good music and pool staff always on hand. That night we ate again at L'Incontro.

More days at the wonderful hotel also took advantage of the Beach Club which was great. I would also definitely recommend a sundowner at The Sixteenth Tenerife with amazing views. I would also recommend Restaurante Punta Paraiso, the portions are enormous.

So finally, all good things have to come to an end.

The Lounge at Tenerife is not the best in my opinion; however, the flight home was good in Club Europe on British Airways.

I would recommend the Hard Rock Hotel to everyone; families, couples and singles. It's an amazing hotel with staff that always go the extra mile!
