Kalkan

I recently had a short break to the amazing town of Kalkan in Turkey. I flew with Easy Jet out of Edinburgh. It’s a 4-hour, 20-minute flight then a 90 minute transfer but well worth the wait.

I stayed at the 5-star Likya Residence and Spa. It’s about a 10-minute walk into town but a stunning hotel set on the hill overlooking Kalkan. The rooms, food and people were amazing. We sunbathed each morning then it was into town to explore their never-ending streets of shops and restaurants. The food everywhere was amazing and if you like a bargain or two then they have those as well. There are loads of bargains to be had at the Thursday market.

Each evening it was a stop for drink then a taxi to take us up the hill (£1) back to the hotel.

This amazing place is really worth a visit and is a hidden gem. Probably more for adults than children.
